I've just been asked "How do I get my WordPress website referenced by ChatGPT?"

The answer is simple, but not easy.

Make AI optimisation part and parcel of your SEO; with AI content/structure, on top of your SEO content. You optimise the website, especially Bing (ChatGPT uses an old version of Bing), which get's ChatGPT's attention, then give it what it's looking for.

For example: You want to get mentioned in ChatGPT when someone asks "How do I get my WordPress website referenced by ChatGPT?". You have to first get listed on Google/Bing with a post "How to get your WordPress website referenced by ChatGPT". That involves your SEO copy, backlinks, etc. as normal. Then you need AI-first content at the top of your post, which can be a summary, question/answer box.

Use WordPress plugins for the page/site SEO, use ChatGPT to write your SEO content, meta tags, etc. and then ask it to write the AI-first summary for the top of the post.

Is it worth writing two pages then? One for AI and one for SEO, social etc?
