My wife and I are looking for properties that can earn us an income. Having come across a converted barn with some holiday cottages on the land. I have been advised that this is a residential sale.
But when it comes to getting a mortgage on the site, the brokers were unsure as to how to present it. My argument is that it is no different from having a basement flat above a period property that is let out.
Has anyone else come across a similar scenario?
