This forum was started to open up the conversation to all entrepreneurs that are either looking for support to start a business or may need questions answered about their thoughts or findings.

Some of you may remember the government entity ‘Business Link’ or ‘Connexxions’ which was the previous ‘Growth Hub’ model. Each had slightly different modus operandi but essentially they were trying to help people get as much support as possible. The problem with these entities is that one size does not fit all and the various nuances of each sector and business model mean that that they have never been very successful. You may have experienced the Growth Hub Navigator programme which essentially is a tick-box exercise which in our experience has not delivered anything other than funding for the Growth Hub keeping the staff employed. However, the EU funding has changed from the Learning Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) so they are all being adopted by the local councils. I’m sure they will thrive now…
